Caravan Beirut is a design pop-up in the United States showcasing apparel, accessories, jewelry, home goods and photography from Lebanese designers. Its first edition, April 2016 is Washington D.C. Rabih Geha Architects transformed the park space, located in the city’s historic district into a 4-day luxury market-themed exhibit space. The main aim was to create a trendy temporary exhibition space reflecting the brands on display. This was achieved through the installation of black vertical and horizontal elements all through generating the space division, circulation and lighting. These elements create a series of frames within frames allowing the customers to visualize the space as a whole with open visual communication yet create the area intended for each participant. The resulting space is a striking visual perspective of never ending structures and light.
